TM once again organized a very successful an event in Kuching to spread the word of their excellent Streamyx services. TM Karnival was held at Wisma Hopoh on the 28 June Saturday.
I did not know about the event until my mum asked me to send my youngest sister to participate in one of their activities, colouring competition.
Reaching Wisma Hopoh, illegal parkings by the roadside have caused massive jam. It was a toll on me since I have very little tolerance to slow traffic. My annoying sister add to my already boiling temper and thus, I have no good review on the event. Such a biased statement. LOL
The response was overwhelming. There was so many primary school students crowding under a tiny tent just for a colouring competition
Why would anyone spend their Saturday afternoon under the hot sun to watch kids colour?! There is no proper facilities provided. No tables or chairs. The only considerate thing the organizer did was to put a fan there, which of course did not help much under such weather. These poor children was sitting on the floor, cramped like sardin and was forced encouraged to produce good piece of artwork. Not far away from the tent was some unknown performer/ singer singing. It was heat + sweat + crowd + noise, I almost snapped.
It was so crowded that some of these kids had to sit outside the tent. Some parents were more prepared, they actually brought along their portable table and chair for their kids.
So fortunate... My sister had to be sandwiched together with the rest of the kids.
Poor girl tired because of hot weather
TM worker managed to find his way to the pool of school children to distribute freebies. I hope he did not injure anyone
TM should provide better venue next time.

Yen's 21st
I realised that I do not write blogs on the actual date of an event. Blame it on my habit of procrastinating. Even our clique's gathering is very so often being postponed one day to another.
We celebrated Yen Hung's 21st birthday last Thursday at Food & Tea, The Spring. However, her actual birthday falls on the 23rd June.
The narcissistic Lissa and I managed to snap a picture *in the changing room again* before heading off to Yen Hung's gathering.
The birthday gathering was humbly attended by...
Lissa, Luan and myself
I strongly believed that the 3 of us who gathered must be suffering from the disease of eng-ness. We took ages to finally ordered something simple from the overwhelming list of food served.
Flo : I have no idea what to eat... *frowns*
Lissa : Me too...
Yen : We shall STUDY the menu till Luan arrives.
Lissa : Yes, we should...
Flo : I still have no idea what to eat... *flips menu aimlessly*
Lissa : Yes, me too...
Yen : Do you noticed that we actually reviewed all the food on the menu?
Half of the time, I was flipping through the menu, not knowing what to order. It was so frustrating!
And finally when Luan arrives, I just placed my order according to me-ni-me-ni-ma-ni-mo...
Cheese baked rice with chicken... Which I shared with Lissa

Served with soup and gui ling kao which I dislike
Yen ordered some fried rice
Luan watched us eat since she had dinner at home.
I ordered SuperStar which is some strawberry drink, Yen Hung had a jug of watermelon juice and Lissa had some HK drink called YingYong
Yen Hung at her 21st
...with Lissa
...with Luan
and myself.
It was a simple celebration. No funky or exotic cakes. No candles.
We later head to Desserts and add further to our already full stomach and talked crap for god knows how long.
I had chocolate oreo
I'm going to miss all of you when you're not around... I wonder when is the next gathering...

Sneak Peak
I trespassed my college!
Okay, not exactly.
I went back to college last week during holiday. It was so empty with the signs "No Entry to Students". Honestly, I do not know what the lecturers are guarding. But I sneaked into Semester 5 Architecture and Interior Design class and snap a few pictures of their work.

The classroom that I entered... *evil laughter*
Humongous model... Old Kuching City on a table
Notice it says LimKokWing Institute of Creative Technology on the portfolio?

This is GOOD work. Her portfolio is amazing
Portfolio of Interior Design student...
Another interior design work...

5th Anniversary Dance Championships 2008
My dancer sister participated in a dance championship organized by our humble dance academy, Imperial Dance Studio last week. It was my first to attend such event and it was rather breathtaking to watch people compete. Dance battle.
We bought the whole dinner table...
Dancers... Kylie is in green
Prize giving
Family of Imperial Dance Studio. Can spot me?
I do not have a clear picture on the championship. They moved too fast and I do not have the skills to capture those moments.
I uploaded a poor quality video. Malaysia Dancers, they were awesome. Just one of their performance.
Am still looking for dance partner...

Tea
This is too heavy for tea.
But it's neither lunch nor dinner since we had it during tea time.
All is homecooked.
Still setting up the table...
Looking at the amount of food... How can I not gain weight?
Grilled vegetables...
I don't know what you call this... You wrap the veges with it
Healthy and delicious
Not any ordinary mashed potatoes. It's creamy and cheesy... Not something you can get outside
Grilled potatoes
OMG... Carbs...
Lamb
Cream of mushroom
Grilled salmon... Just add pepper and salt
Salad
I only helped to prepare the salmon. All was delicious.

Lissa
Warning, may contain explicit contents!!! Parental advisory. May contain Ah Lian poses as well
There's something about this picture... It's hilarious
Lissa and I, have a lot in common. We are both fire sign, so maybe that explains why every time we are together, there's fire and smoke. There is just something about her. Something. That makes you feel like you can tell her anything. Or do anything.
We may look innocent... Don't be fooled by looks!
I warned you didn't I?
Lissa decided that an oral a finger is a better Ah Lian pose
She's someone that never fails to cheer me up, always giving me the best advice. This is a post just for you. Thank you, Lissa...

Floorball
Since my friends are curious to what floorball is all about, this is a post where I share my passion for it.
SALIBANDY!CO
I was introduced to floorball back in my studies in Tunku Abdul Rahman College. My best friend, Kelvin, actually dragged me to the field after lecture and made me play without proper attire. It was then, I know I that have fallen in love with it. Our floorball team plays every Wednesday and Thursday (schedule might have changed) after lecture without fail even on rainy days unless it's thundering.
We are that crazy to play in rain
Our game usually ended with sweaty dinner at the mamak stall together.
Although I am not a pro player, now and back then, I have always enjoyed playing.
Floorball sticks
Floorball is somewhat similar to ice hockey, but without the ice. Floorball sticks are usually carbon sticks with plastic blade. And floorball ball, is a light plastic ball with holes that looks somehow like a rattan ball.
Floorball ball - made out of plastic. Careful not to step on it

The game is very easy. All you have to do is to put the ball into your opponent's goal. Simple. Just like football, but here, instead of using your leg, you need to use your a stick to hit the ball into the goal.
If you guard the goal like this, I think your opponent will definitely score a goal
