Tamago kake gohan

I'm not sure how many of you have heard of tamago kake gohan. It is a popular breakfast in Japan, consist of rice topped or mixed with raw eggs and soy sauce.

Tamago Kake Gohan

Tamago Kake Gohan (which literally means Egg Pour Rice) is very easy to make. Scope hot rice into a bowl, make a hole in the middle of the rice, then crack the raw egg, add a dash of soy sauce and mix it slightly.

It's delicious and healthy, and not to mention very easy to make.

I'm so craving it right now :D

does the rice need to be special rice or just ordinary?

your ordinary rice would do. Rice must be steaming hot, and egg should be fresh and at room temperature. Oh ya, make sure egg is clean!

You can also mix egg and soy sauce first in another bowl before pouring onto the rice.
